Claire Gillis Obituary

Age 82, formerly of the greater Boston region, passed away in CT on July 7, 2008. A retired bookkeeper, she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Julie Canny, and husband, Jack, of Easton, CT, Tracy Macdonald, and husband, Kevin, of Milton, Betsy Thompson, and husband, Scott, of Duxbury, Robert Gillis, and wife, Melissa, of Portsmouth, NH; grandchildren, Patrick and Megan Canny, Jacqueline, Molly, and Amy Macdonald, Sophie Thompson, Hailey and Quintin Gillis; two aunts, Margaret Sullivan and Katherine Joyce; one brother, Paul Murphy; one sister, Grace Skidmore; several nieces. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 3 to 7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield, CT, with a prayer and committal service at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private.
