To the Dolan Family,

My condolences to you for your loss. As a former wrestling coach at North Quincy, Chris was always there to help in whatever way I needed, even if it was just to make sure I had a laugh when I needed one. He was a special person who had a way of making everyone around him comfortable and see sports for what they are... fun.

For any former athlete or coach who ever put on a uniform at NQHS, Dexter will always be a part of those memories and experiences. He will certainly be missed.

Although I did not know 'Dexter' personally, I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I am an '86 graduate of NQHS and I have two sons at North who heard the news before I did, and they also felt sad. My deepest sympathy to his family, his friends, and all the NQHS coaches and athletes he loved.

To the Dolans,

I knew Chris for many years through his sister, my class mate Ann. "Dexter" was always around, involved with NQ sports as a young kid; equipment manager, stat man, etc., an involvement that he maintained his entire life. Chris kept busy and got involved with other sports teams in Quincy and elsewhere.

It was not until he volunteered in 1998 to help the newly formed Quincy Granite Semi-Pro Football Club that I saw first-hand how valuable Dexter was to an organization and just how much of a quality, top-notch guy he was. He was "the Voice of the Granite" the public address announcer at Quincy's Veterans Stadium. He also assisted me in many ways behind the scenes running the football team. Chis and I became friends during the 5 years the Granite were in operation.

Myself, co-owner Sean Halpin and all of the former players and staff of the Quincy Granite Football Club express our most sincere sympathy's to you on the loss of Chris.

Respectfully,

Paul Desmond

Dexter was a part of my family for years and as a matter of fact lived with us for a while. Slept in the extra bed in my room and waking me up every morning by winding his watch. My sister Karen learned how to drive in his red Mustang back in day. My father cooking him egg white omlets. Playing football and wiffle ball at Massy. Goodbye my friend... my brother... you will be missed.

There are not many people in the world, that when you think of them or hear their name, you always smile! Dexter is one of those people! Among other memories, I will always remember Dexter driving his little red Mustang through the snow, with me, John, and Eddie crammed in the car. We were up to some sort of mischief, as usual... He was a friend to all! He will always be in our hearts and minds! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dolan family! Romans 5:1

Chris & I went to High School together. We knew each other but were not in the same crowd. He was a good guy then and now to read what an "even better" guy he became makes me wish we were closer in school. To Chris' family....I wish to offer you my deepest sympathies. We may never understand why God took him so young, but we do know that God took one more very special person and I am sure...for a very special reason....he wanted him right by his side. God Bless You All.

Dear Dolan Family,
From when I first met Dexter at the age of 15 until now, 27 years later, I was always greeted with a smile, hug and how's the family.

Because of Dexter's unending dedication to NQHS and Quincy in general, I was not the only one in my family that had to opportunity to have him as my friend. His loyalty to the sports of this city brought Dexter into the lives of my siblings, and nieces and nephews.

I am grateful for having known Dexter and will miss him.

My thoughts are with all of you,
