Charles J. McCabe Jr.

Of Boston formerly of Wenham lost his battle with cancer on July 7, 2008. CJ, Charlie or Doc as he was known to those who loved him was born February 10th, 1948. He was known for saying that he could never believe, "a little boy from Asbury Park, NJ made it all the way to Boston to end up being a physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and a professor at Harvard Medical School." For him this was truly a dream come true. For over thirty years he devoted his life to medicine at the MGH and to teaching the future physicians of the world at Harvard Medical School. A loyal & selfless father to Krista McCabe & husband for 37 years to his wife Rose (Castellano) McCabe, friend & teacher; he died as he lived...his way. Memorial Mass in St. Joseph Church, 68 Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston Monday, July 14th at 10 am. Relatives & friends are kindly invited to attend.
