Of Norwood July 10, age 97. Beloved wife of the late Frank Alighieri. Devoted mother of Carmela Thornton and her late husband Thomas of Norwood. Mary Consiglio and her husband Gino of Norwood, Pasquale A. Alighieri and his companion Denise of Scituate, Theresa Holland and husband David of Norwood, Joanne Barrett and her husband Jim of Walpole, Anna Jones and her husband Robert of Norwood and Thomas F. Alighieri and his wife Lori of Norwood. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. Sister of the late Frances Bilotta, Anna Bilotta, Laura Bretti, Maria Pelligrini and Giovanna Carchedi. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., NORWOOD, Monday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Catherine's Church, Norwood. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Interment highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to American Heart Association, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Catherine was to admired for being such a wonderful mother and friend . She will be greatly missed. She has gone home now but will always be with us. Just look for the signs.
