I grew up as a member of Mattapan Baptist Church where the Snows were very involved members. They were good friends of my parents, John and Dorothy Jacobsen. Mrs. Snow took a particular interest in me as a teen, taking me to a Christian conference in New York. When I first started working, I often saw Mrs. Snow on the T as we were commuting to Boston. Later, when my father was in assisted living, Mrs. Snow visited him with me several times. When she was in her late '80's she regularly walked from Capen Street to Dorchester Lower Mills to help community members with their taxes. Mrs. Snow was a wonderful person whom I will remember always.
