Roberta was one of the few people I knew who really could light up a room. She knew the recipe of how to enjoy life to the fullest, and bring friends & family along to experience it.I was fortunate enough to holiday in the Bahamas with her about 10 years ago along with her "partner in crime" Dave, and what great memories I have of that time.Roberta knew how to get people into the joy of living and boy did we ever! The Heaven's above are certainly experiencing the uniqueness that was and still will always stay in our hearts that was Roberta!!!

Dear Roberta,
The past couple of years that I've been with the Marriott, there was always one thing I could guarantee would be there every time I came back from school; your smiling face and welcoming arms. No one was more genuine and caring than you were. You always made me feel so happy and excited to be back. I wish we could have had more than our usual daily hellos, but that is something I will always cherish. You made such an impact on both my brother and I, the way you cared about us like your own grandchildren. There is no one in this world who could ever take your place. I have no doubt that you will look down us from heaven and guide us with your light. You will always be missed.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
To my beloved Roberta,
There are not words to describe the emptiness I now feel in my heart, mind and soul. I valued you so much and although I tried to let you know as much as I could, looking back it wasn't enough. You were my safety net. Every time I walked into that hotel, you were my shinning light that made my night go so much easier. You were a friend, a confidant, and a role model. Your memory will never leave me and I will forever hold close to my heart the times I was able to be graced by your presence. Thank you so much for being a part of my path of life and one that I will never forget. You were an inspiration for family, friends, and all who you came in contact with. May you continue to be the star in my sky as a true soldier in the lords eternal army.
May god bless your family, friends, and may god rest your soul in peace ...
Love always,
J

My sincerest sympathy on the passing of your mother. Though I did not know her, from the other entries in this guest book, she must have been a wonderful Mom!

Although the time I've known you was short indeed, it is one I wont forget. It is never easy to see those close to you, leave so suddenly. But to have faith that the Lord knows what He must do to have you come back home to a Heavenly Kingdom, to begin your new life. Our loss is Heavens gain. He knows how to hand pick one of the best people to watch over the rest of us, until when one day, we can see each other again. You will be missed. Forever rest in peace. With love from 'Miss Daisy'

Heaven's Doorway
There's a road that each of us travels,
Often times with no chance for "good-bye",
And those who are left sad and lonely,
Grieve in silence and simply ask,"WHY?"
But the question is one without answers,
And the comfort that others provide,
Still can't keep your poor hearts from wishing,
That your loved one was by your side.
Yet life has beginnings and endings,
And one day your heartache will cease,
Though it seems like you'll never stop hurting,
Over time you will find inner peace.
You'll be able to think of your loved one,
Without wiping a tear from your eye,
And you'll come to see death as a "door-way",
And NOT a forever good-bye.

Roberta was everyone's Mother. She had a zest for life and was a great mentor and dear friend. I worked with Roberta for 5 years at the Burlington Marriott. I will never forget our chats and her laugh. We always kept in touch and I will miss getting together with her on her visits and emails. Rest in peace Roberta you will always be loved and missed.

I don't know who is going to read all of my books now. I am still in shock because you had just baked those wonderful brownies and brought them to work. You knew how to brighten everyone's day with that big smile. You were not only a friend but a second mother with your wisdom, advice, and love. I will forever remember our times together and rejoice in the knowledge that you are now resting in the safety of His arms! Well done Roberta, you made it to the other shore!!!

I will miss our morning chats and our evening conversations. Will we have that glass of red wine or not? There are not many people that I meet in life that I know are genuine and great people. Ms. Roberta is one in a million.

If there is one memory that stands out above the rest when I think of Roberta, it has to be the way she could bring color and personality to any situation. I'm a big disney person, and a friend once pointed out to me, that Roberta reminded her of "Owl" from the Winnie the Pooh stories. For those of you who don't know who that is, the character is very wise and has a big heart and hummbling personality, who happend to be an Owl. Roberta you will always be my "Owl", thank you so much for being the " la duce' ", as you would put it, in my time with you! Love you and I will never forget you, thanks for being that amazing part of my life.

I've known Roberta for about four months before her unexpected passing, but I must say I've never met a person with so much happiness in life. You couldn't help but smile when ever you would see Roberta, even if you were having a bad day there was just something in Roberta's Eyes and Smile that just made you forget why you were upset that day. My Heart and Prayers go out to her family and friends. I know that she's in a very better place now and I bet she even made God Smile when she got there. Thank you for your Wisdom and Smiles.
