My youger brother remains in my heart and thoughts, forever. There are many memories of our earlier days together that I cherish.
Although it has been a year since Richard passed I have feelings and emotions every day; and I wish that he is resting in peace. We all miss Richard and long for the day that we will reunite in the next life and beyond.

We consider ourselves so very fortunate to have enjoyed your company at our family get-togethers. Just by being in your presence, made us all feel so welcomed and knowing what a "special and thoughtful" daughter you raised is testamony to you and Linda's wonderful values. "Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, love leaves memories no one can steal". To Linda, Rick and Jennifer, may the happy memories of your dad live with you forever. Sincerely, Aunty Donna and Uncle Bud

It is hard to comprehend that a year has passed. Bob and I miss you so much. We talk about the good times we spent together and the good times you and Bob had before Lynda and I entered your lives. I miss your booming voice telling me Oh God she's here again!! The silence is deafening now. Our memories will keep us going and you will always be in our hearts.
With all our love forever, may God Bless you and your family.
Love, and blessings upon you.

Linda, Rick and Jen,
Uncle Bobby and I are truly devastated over the loss of our forever friend. Through the years our families have been entwined forever.
We have gone through every emotion, event, good times and bad with laughter and tears. Together we've experienced so much fun, teasing, caring and love for one another which built our precious memories.
Dick, as promised, Bobby and I will always be here for Linda, Rick and Jen.
Lin, your devotion to Dick was endless and cannot be expressed by words. Bless You.
Rick and Jen, your dad was taken from you much too soon. Your loss is tremendous.
Bobby and I have been blessed to have Dick in our lives. We will miss him dearly, but we will never forget our brother/friend.
With a heavy heart I need to express the following:
No longer will we see his face or gaze upon his smile.
His booming voice is silent now and we will miss that mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
His wisdom and his love of life were shortend by disease,
but his spirit will live on in all of us, and that's what I believe.
Our hearts are broken.
With love to all of you.
Linda & Bobby

Hi Dad:
I meant to send this to you last week, but Happy Belated Birthday. I did not forget your birthday or forget you on that day, I just made this entry a bit late.
I think about you all the time and miss you soo much. Our lives have changes forever since you have been gone. Although life still goes on, its soo hard to go on without you. It still feels like a dream and that I will wake up and be able to see you, but when I wake up, your not here. I know you are in my heart, my soul and my memories, but to me, that is just not enough. I want my dad back. Today is my birthday and all I want is to hear you say Happy Birthday. Unfortunately, that wish will not come true.
I am sorry for rambling on, I guess I am just emotional because we have been going through alot of the "firsts" recently. The 1st month of you being gone, your wedding anniversary, your birthday, and now mine. It is just hitting me hard.
I know that you are still with me and the kids. I joke with them all the time when the door shuts by itself or something out of the blue happens. I tell them that it was you. They were first spooked by it, but now they are getting used to it!!
I love you dad and miss you tons. I just hope that you are happy and healthy and are settling in at your new home with all your loved ones that have passed on as well.
Keep watching over us Dad. Happy Birthday!!!
All my love,
Jen

Dear Linda, Jenn and Ricky We have had the pleasure of meeting Dick some 25 years ago, as a young father and a loving husband. Through these years many things have changed in life but not Dick, he had always kept a terrific smile and a great sense of humor. He was an extremely devoted husband, father and grandfather, who kept his family very close to his heart. May he rest with all who he loved that has gone on before him and with Our Father in heaven. Amen. love Beverly and Paul Rogers

Dear Aunt Linda, Rick and Jen,
I have very fond memories of my uncle and godfather. When we had the summer cookouts at our house, Uncle Richard, Uncle Pat and my dad took charge of the BBQ. It seemed like an eternity until the charcoal briquettes would finally stay lit, and the three of them would laugh at each other in the process. And the chicken wings always, always managed to get burned, and they’d just blame each other. There are so many things that I will miss about Uncle Richard, most notably his personable nature, his great sense of humor, and his big, contagious laugh. And at all family get-togethers, it was always apparent how important his family was to him.
John reminds me, having lost his father when he was 20, that he often feels his father's presence, especially through Benjamin. We believe Uncle Richard's presence will continue to be felt in the lives of all those he has touched.
John and I send our love and thoughts.

I will always remember Uncle Richard as a fun-loving man full of life and happiness who always had a smile on his face.
I have so many fond memories of the whole family gathering together for the holidays, especially Christmas at Uncle Richard's house. It was always a barrell of laughs watching him goof around with my dad, Uncle Pat and Aunt Rita. I would try to guess who would be the first to spill their coffee on the wall.
A day does not go by without me thinking of Uncle Richard. He has given me a new realization of how precious life truely is. I love and miss him dearly.
Lots of love to Aunt Linda, Rick and Jennifer.

Aunt Linda Rick and Jen, I am so sorry for your loss. You all are in my thougts and prayers. Uncle Richard was a great uncle. I have lots of fond memories, like when I was a little girl he would tickle me, and laughed at my stupid jokes. I remember one Christmas Uncle Richard, Uncle Tony and my dad (Patrick.) got these big wine bottles with long necks, and the three of them were dancing and marching and singing with these wine bottes. I sure do miss those holidays, Christmas and Easter. I will always miss Uncle Richard, but never forget him. He now is no longer suffering, and is with Jesus and Grandma and Grandpa. You all are still in my thoughts and prayers. I even put you in the prayer book at my church.
I do want to get up to boston soon so Dana can meet his cousins. I love and miss you all,, hugs and kisses. Sandra.

Dear Linda, Rick and Jen,
Rich was the youngest member of the family. Growing up was always filled with good natured mischief.
I tried my best to sit next to him during family gatherings. Why? To cause trouble of course. For example, just when he was about to eat a fork-full of peas I would nudge his elbow so the peas would spill all over the place. Through it all he would always take my antics with the good nature he constantly possessed.
It is memories such as these that will help sustain me after the loss of such a dear brother. Everyone who met him loved him, how could they not? He was just that kind of guy.
Rest in peace, and may God's love comfort you Linda, Rick and Jennifer.
Love Pat and Maureen

Dear Aunt Linda, Rick and Jennifer,
Uncle Richard was such a loving, gentle and inspirational man. His devotion to his family was apparent to all. I love and miss his good natured humor. He would light up the room when the extended family came to visit.
There is a shortage of men like Uncle Richard in this world. It is comforting to know that, although this earthly world has lost him, heaven has gained someone as shining and dazzling a soul as any angel. He is among friends and family. I extend much love and comfort to you.
Love,
Anne-Marie

Dear Linda, Jen & Rick:
We share your grief in the loss of our brother, Richard. He was a wonderful and caring brother who always had a way of making people laugh through his great personality and smile that lit up any room he entered. I will always remember how we covered up for each other in trying to fool our parents. Now he rests with them in eternal peace where there is no suffering and only joy.His spirit will live on in us through the wonderful memories of his life and happy times we all were fortunate to share with him. Rest in peace, little brother, until we are all together again. We love you and miss you so much.

Dear Linda, Jen and Rick,
I am so happy to have known Dick for 45 yrs. We met at Gillette and became friends and then I introduced him to John and they became friends and bowling buddies. He certainly was well liked by everyone at Gillette and many a girl had a crush on him(he was so handsome!), but Linda, you captured his heart. We have had many happy times with your family-Celtics games, weddings, cook-outs, lunches, etc. and I will cherish them always. Dick loved life and was always smiling-he made you want to smile right along with him.
It is so hard saying "Good-bye" to our friend, but I know he is not suffering anymore and is watching over his family and friends helping us get through this difficult time. John and I will miss Dick so much, and although we haven't seen much of him in the last 9 months or so, he was always in our prayers and thoughts.
We will keep you in our prayers, also, knowing your memories will help to sustain you at this sad time.
Dickie, we will always remember you!!

Well Dad, you are at peace now and all your suffering is over. These past few years and especially the past few months have been soo difficult for you, and soo difficult for us as well. To have to watch your dad go through the suffering you did, it just broke my heart. You were a man who loved life, had a great sense of humor and that contagous smile of yours, it could brighten anyones day. You lost that along the way because of your illness, but now, I know you have that back. Everytime I have thought about you these past couple of days, your smile just keeps me going. You are/were an amazing dad who taught me soo much, instilled soo many wonderful values in my life and you have made me the person I am today with all your love. For that, I will forever be grateful. You have brought so many wonderful things into my life, as well as soo many others, you will never be forgotten.
I promised you that you would not need to worry about us when you were gone, and I will keep that promise to you. Rick and I will take care of Mom and take care of each other. You just keep your promise to me that you will watch over us and be our guardian angel. The boys, your beautiful little grandsons will never forget you either. You were their Grandpa and I will promise you that they will always remember you and the love you had for them. That will also live on forever.
I love you dad with all my heart and soul. My heart aches that you are no longer with us, but when I look up and see the brightest star shining in the sky, I will know that is you smiling down on all of us.
Love you forever dad, your "little" girl
