79, of Needham, July 15, 2008. Husband of 52 years to Jeanette (McDonald) Anderson. Beloved father of Mark A. Anderson of Newton, Erika A. Funari and her husband Tony of Newton, Luke T. Anderson and his wife Paula of North Yarmouth ME and Victoria P. Davies and her husband Russell of Manhattan, NY. Devoted grandfather of Jacqueline, Ryan and Cameron Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at Needham Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's name may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., PO Box 11454 Alexandria VA 22312. Late Graduate Princeton University Class of 1950 and received a Masters degree from Columbia University Teachers College and doctoral student in Social Psychology at New York University. I never had the chance to meet Mr. Anderson but I work with know his daughter Erika very well.
If he is anything like his daughter I am positive he was a wonderful human being and will be missed dearly.
My wife and I encourage you to let his life be your strength rather than his passing be your crutch.
You have our deepest sympathies.

I have many fond memories of growing up on Nehoiden St next to you all. Mr. Anderson always had a quiet hello and smile whenever we saw him! I am sorry to hear of his passing and wish you all comfort and peace in the coming days! We are thinking of you.
