Frieda Horsman Obituary

92 years of Sherborn formerly of Brockton, died July 15, 2008 at Mary Ann Morse Nursing & Rehab. Center in Natick. She was born in Harwinton, Ct., a daughter of the late Katherine (Tluck) and John Roth. Mrs. Horsman was the wife of the late Stanley W. Horsman and been a resident of Brockton since 1946, before moving to Sherborn in 1995. She was raised and educated in Manchester, Ct and was a graduate of Manchester High School in Manchester, Ct. When living in Brockton she attended St. Edwards Church and was very active in the activities of St. Edwards School and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Frieda took great pleasure in homemaking, caring for her family and was heard to remark that she... "preferred not to drink beer". She is survived by a daughter, Marcia A. Tangerini and her husband David of Sherborn, two sons, Steven E. Horsman and his wife Pat of Seattle, WA and Stanley J. Horsman and his wife Kim of Andover, seven grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ethan and Elizabeth Tangerini, Nicole, Michael, Joseph and Christine Horsman. She was predeceased by one brother and five sisters. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Christ Lutheran Church 113 Union Street, Natick on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 12noon. Burial will be private. Donations in memory of Frieda may be made to the Cancer Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
