Anthony Quercia Obituary

Of Weymouth formerly of Braintree and South Boston, died July 19, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was raised in South Boston and lived in Braintree for 40 years before moving to Weymouth 7 years ago. Anthony was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Late member of the Braintree D.A.V. Beloved husband of Mary V. (Groden) Quercia. Devoted father of Francis P. Quercia and his wife Maryann of Hubbardston, MA and Veronica A. Payzant and her husband Stephen of Braintree. Brother of Rose Greene of CA and the late Frances DeNoia, Louis Quercia, Angela Quercia, Dominic Quercia, Vita Mary Iacovelli, Elizabeth Thompson, Julia Eyre and Helen Fuller. Loving grandfather of Keith and Susanna Payzant, Stacey and Christian Ballerino, Christopher and Tracy Quercia, Todd and Lauren Payzant, Jaime and Deepankar Ayyagari and Nathan and Melanie Quercia. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Clare's Church, Braintree, at 12:00 o'clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Dear Mary, Ronnie and Family,

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend to all. You took wonderful care of him and he was very much at peace being surrounded by his loving family and friends.
