Julia Ostergren Obituary

Of Norwood, July 19, 2008, born Feb. 26, 1914, age 94. Beloved wife of the late Eugene G. Ostergren who passed away in 1969. Dear mother of Marion Chisholm and Elaine and Russell Groh of Norwood, Eugene F. and Susan Ostergren of Bellingham and the late John M. Ostergren. Daughter of the late Loreta and Corradino DiBerto. Sister of the late Enio and Lola DiBerto. Loving grandmother of Joseph and Michael Costello, Julie-Ann Lampron, Lynne Doherty, Russell and John Groh, Kristin Heath, Eugene, Bryan, Kerrie and Karin Ostergren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, Thurs. July 24 at 10 AM. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home, Wed. July 23, 4-8 PM. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Julia may be made to the Norwood Scholarship Foundation, Post Office Box 112, Norwood, MA, 02062. Mrs. Ostergren worked for 15 years at the Superintendent's Office of the Norwood Public Schools, retiring in 1984. To the Ostergren family:

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I went to school with her late son, John, who was one of the sweetest and gentlest souls I have ever met. Now your mom will be united with John again as well as with your father. My deepest sympathies to you all.
