Andrew Meyer Obituary

April 2, 1917 July 16, 2008. Passed away peacefully at age 91, at home, 4 months to the day after the death of his beloved wife, Myra, his soulmate of 65 years. Theirs was a true love story. Andy will be remembered as a wonderful mentor with tremendous warmth and unending devotion to his family. His positive attitude, strength, perseverance and generosity of spirit touched all who knew him. His spirit and memory is kept alive by his loving children, daughter Constance Buerger, son Andrew, son-in-law Alan Buerger, daughter-in-law Kathy Meyer, his adoring grandchildren, Reid Buerger, Grant Buerger, Joshua Meyer, Daniel Meyer, Jessica Meyer and granddaughter-in-law Krista Buerger. He was a huge part of all of their lives. He is survived by his twin brother, Wallace Meyer. Donations to the Andrew C. Meyer Initiative for Education and Clinical Progress, established in his memory, would be appreciated. Donations to the order of: Johns Hopkins University, Dept. of Psychiatry.
