I only knew Charlie for 9 year, but he taught me alot and was a true friend. He was the main stay at the National Memorial and will truly be missed. His memory will live on in me and others. God bless him and his family.

I still can’t believe you are gone. Every day when I drive in through the back gate at work I remember all over again that you won’t be there. I’m still very sad about that. We had some really good laughs. Who would think that a cemetery could be a humorous place to work but it was and I enjoyed the laughter. I finally got the job here that I’ve always wanted. You used to always say, “It will happen in the Universe’s time, not in Deborah’s time.” Well it finally happened and I’m very sorry that you aren’t here to share my joy. Well, maybe you are…in spirit. As I look through the material that I need to perform my new duties I realize that you have already taught me everything that I need to know. You were a very patient person. I truly appreciate that. When I was at funeral services one of my favorite pastors would say to the audience, “It won’t be long for in God’s economy of time we will be reunited with our loved ones.” That makes me happy. I believe that in quick second, in a blink of an eye, I’ll be crossing over and you will be there with 3Gs to greet me. I look forward to that. So, for the time being my world is a little more empty without you…OK, a lot more empty. I miss you friend.
