My husband and I would see Anthony at every 11:30 Mass at St. Catherines. My mother remembers him from school and his mom and my grandmother were friends. Even though he appeared terribly ill, he was at Mass every single week with unyielding faith. His faith got him through many hard times, I'm sure. He always kept to himself, but his visible disabilities promted prayers from many in our parish. His faith in God and his church was an inspiration to us all. His presence will be dearly missed.

Anthony and I went to St. Catherine's school all the way from first grade. His mother and mine were best friends and the four of us spent many hours together. He had polio but that never stopped him from his goals. He was the sweetest boy I have ever known. I would see him at the 11:30 Mass every week and would say prayers for him because he was so alone. I would visit the cemetery and put flowers on our Mother's graves. Now I will add his to my visits. I am so sorry, but now I know he is well taken care of by both our Mothers and is no longer alone.
