Very sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. She was a beautiful person. I remember going to Charlestown with my mother when I was a young kid to the Bunker Hill parade and going over to the Edward's house. She was always happy to see everyone and it was always a pleasure to see her.

In memory of my Godmother Margaret A. Edwards. The premonition of her passing preceded the phone message I received.
Perhaps it was at the Sunday farmer’s market purchasing one exceptionally perfect Red Delicious Apple. This particular variety I have not purchased or eaten in so many years.
The significance here is that Aunt Margaret would often visit me during my frequent stays at Mass General Hospital. Upon each visit, she would produce from a crumpled brown bag a perfect Red Delicious Apple. The taste of that apple at that time is beyond description however; it leans towards why that particular variety has never tasted the same.
On that same day on July 27, 2008, I sat down on the patio with a friend and took out a deck of cards and we played for hours.
Again something that I had not done in years however it was something that Aunt Margaret would sit and play with me in the hospital.
Memories are few however, I remember her teaching me the Cha-Cha-Cha in her big kitchen. Hugs that would envelope you making you feel like she really was happy to see you.
I left Massachusetts right after high school coming back only a few times and seeing Aunt Margaret in only one of those visits.
The last couple of years communicating with her were difficult and greatly missed.
Therefore, I am left with warm memories of a woman that truly gave of herself and never complained.
Margaret you have always been in my thoughts and you will always remain in my thoughts and heart.
Love,
Margaret E. O'Brien

To Helen & all the Edwards Family,
Our deepest sympathy at the passing of cousin Margaret. My mother always said she was a "Saint"
as she had taken such good care of so many in her family. Margaret had expressed to me that my mother, Aunt Mae and she were like sisters rather than cousins. Well, I'm sure now she is getting her reward for all her good works & reunited with all the Edwards, Connors & O'Brien clans. She was such a caring, loving person. Our thoughts & prayers go out to you all at this sad time.
Love,
Kathleen (Waggett) & Leo Ghilardi
(Margie Connors' daughter)
