Michael Fishman Obituary

Entered into rest July 29 of Medford, formerly of Cape Cod and Natick. Beloved husband of Hermine (Fine). Devoted father of Bobby Fishman of Greenwich, RI and Ron Fishman of Medford. Loving brother of Edna Grob of Swampscott and the late Ben, Ruben, and Eli Fishman. Cherished grandfather of Jake Fishman of San Diego and Kate Fishman of Medford. Graveside Services at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, on Friday, August 1 at 12:45 p.m. Memorial observance on Friday only at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Fishman. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to Massachusetts Senior Games, 263 Alden St., Springfield, MA 01109-3797. Mike was perennially the oldest participant in the Massachusetts Senior Games, bringing home the gold in the 100 and 200 meter dashes only a month before his death. He was often found on the tennis courts in Medford and was an inspiration to all. Stanetsky Memorial Chapels 617-232-9300

Dear Stan, Ronnie, Michelle, Amy & the little one who was not yet born when we were young neighbors in Somerville.
Was so saddened to read about Edie.
She was such a wonderful next-door neighbor & a good friend. I will always remember her & the Finers from of our youth.
