To my family,
My Great Aunt Joan was a wonderful person and I am so happy that I was able to meet her when my family went out to Massachusetts. She was there when my family got out of the airport and she helped us get to the bus that would take us to our vacation home on Cape Cod. A few days later she met us in town and took us to my cousins house and brought over a pot of spaghetti and it was delicious. Near the end of our trip she took us to the aquarium and it was an extremely fun time. She was a loving and caring person and I know that she is up in Gods Kingdom watching over us down here. That was one of the funnest times that my family and I had. Being at the beach and meeting my grandpas family was a wonderful memory and I will treasure it for the rest of my life. God bless our family and my prayers are with them all.

To Our Family,
We are deeply saddened by Aunt Joans passing. May we all be comforted by her memory, her love for life and family, and her never ending sense of humor. She was always there whenever one of us needed her and her comfort. I have so many fond memories of her, her laugh that I will cherish forever. I truly admire this wonderful lady, she never complained about this disease. She felt Gods love and presence surrounding her each and everyday.
What a comfort that has been to us all during the last year.
She was a beautiful wife, loving and devoted mother, caring and fun filled sister, compassionate daughter, awesome aunt and a super grandma, and a friend to so many. But to me she was an Angel and my Godmother whom I love so very much. She may be gone from this earth, but she watches over us from Heaven. Thank you Aunt Joan.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family. We love you all.

I was saddened to read of Joan's passing. Miss Irwin, as I knew her,was my 5th and 6th grade teacher at Columbus Elementary School in Medford. She was a wonderful teacher and I knew she would be a wonderful mother. Miss Irwin, I'm a better person to have been a brief part of your life.

Dear Curran and Irwin families -
I was truly saddened to read of your mother's/sister's passing. She was from a wonderful family and carried that sweet imprint into her married life and beyond - to her children and grandchildren. I know you will miss her presence greatly. My brother, Fr. Larry, spoke of Joan in glowing terms - especially her great humor, the salvation, in human terms, of us all. Now Joan has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and all those ancestors and fabulous family members who have preceded her into the Heavenly Halls. What joy and celebration there is there this day!!! in union with Jesus and her loving family who have been awaiting her arrival.
Meditating upon those thoughts creates some beautiful images!!! May these and memories throughout the years help you to find great solace during this time of grieving.
With fondest love and blessings to all -
