Dear Cousins:
Very sorry to hear about my delightful Auntie Millie. Cutting a trip to Notre Dame short to make it back for her memorial tomorrow.
I’ll never forget her getting me, my Dad and Uncle Mike (Uncle Mike’s second shift!) breakfast at 5:00 am at So Ferry street, before we all headed to the old Fanuelil Hall Market (back when it was a real wholesale market) to pick up the delicacies of Boston to deliver to the delicatessens of Boston. She always threw in some spicy Italian Sausage for me – which had a lasting effect on my food preferences – I’m one of the few Irish guys who can speak with some authority on the quality of Italian food.
I will also miss her great laugh; superb lasagna and the fact that while she accurately thought I was an idiot, especially after I convinced Robert to crash his Train set, always let me know she thought there may be an outside chance I could overcome it, and that she loved me either way.
I know from the time I spent with Uncle Mike on the truck, that he loved her dearly and that she was a great mom who loved her kids - speaking as a mere nephew, she was also a great aunt. There are scores of us who will miss her dearly. Great memory of her dancing away with a cane in hand at my mom and dad’s 50th, while Robert and I sang out of tune.
Classic Auntie Millie!
Sorry that this is why we are all getting together, but look forward to seeing you.
See you tomorrow,
Chuck - (chuckie)

Our love to all of you,
So many memories, especially of Auntie Millie pinching the little ones cheeks, always the best food cooking, and of course the anise cookies (I make them every holiday and we call them Auntie Mille Cookies). A very special Aunt !!!

My prayers are with all of you since I can not be with you at this time. I remember being a child and all the great memories of our times together. Kingston pond was the greatest! I know I was young when we moved to Florida and times have slipped away, but those times together as a family I will always cherish. Sorry I could not make it, but I'm there in my heart.

So sorry to hear about Auntie Millie.
We all have so many wonderful memories of her. Karen and I caused her so much grief. Staying out til all hours of the night. She would have liked to kill us on more than one occasion.
I loved to spend the weekends at her house, she was easier to face than my father!
We will all miss her laughter.
Our thought and prayers are with you.

So Sorry to hear about Auntie Millie... so many memories. The closthes line was on my mind so much last night. Remembering all the different things that use to be sent over the line from one family to the other. She is at peace now and leaves us all with good old memories of South Ferry Street.
God Bless.
