Joseph J. Shannon III

In Easton July 31, 2008 Joseph J., III died at his home in Easton after a long battle with brain cancer. He was 53. He was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School in Easton class of '73. He was vice president of operations at American Paper Recycling Corp. in Mansfield for 29 years. Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Brenda M. (Gomes) Shannon. Devoted son of Joseph J., Jr. & Joan E. (MacGilvray) Shannon of Taunton. He was the loving father of Lisa M. Almeida of Easton, Teresa A. Pomar of Taunton, and Katie L. Partridge of Easton. Brother of Sandy Devlin of No. Reading, Marilyn Wright of Easton, and Richard Shannon of Norton. Grandfather of Robby and Ashley Almeida of Easton, and T.J. and Brendan Pomer of Taunton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours in the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home 38 Center St., Easton on Monday Aug. 4th 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Easton on Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
