Mara and Pam,
You must have many wonderful memories of your Mom. She spoke of you in such glowing terms...displayed your pictures. She was the best supervisor, had her twice in 17 years at Hillhaven. "The White Flash" was all of that. And then her affection for your Dad...showing off her engagement ring 15 years ago. I am grateful for her time...always a class act.

Dear Mara & Pam,
I just wanted to tell both of you how saddened I am to hear of your mother's passing. Selma and I were first cousins, but circumstances prevented us from having a relationship that I know I would have cherished. How fortunate I was to receive a phone call from Selma one day fairly recently. We spoke for a while and then arranged to meet in the city. My husband and I went to see your Mom and then we had lunch in a cozy French restaurant near her home. What a wonderful time we had. Now I am left with a beautiful memory of that day..one that my husband and I will cherish forever.
Once again, I am so sorry for your loss.
Fondly,
Patti

Dear Mara & Pam:
I'm so sorry for your loss. I was 12 years old when I started going to Naticook. Mara, you and I loved being in the plays and Selma was right there cheering us all on. I don't know how she handled all of our illness, both real and imagined. I know she was right there for me when I went thru some panic attacks. She was a no nonsense woman. She told you straight off what she thought and didn't hold back. I respected her for that. When I think of Selma Flash what comes to mind isGrace under Pressure. My deepest condolances to both of you and your families.

Dear Mara, Jon, Pamela, Jeffrey and Family,
Selma was truly a woman of valor. She and Malcolm enveloped me into your wonderful family full of love and fun back when I needed a family close by the college dorm which I shared with Mara. I will always remember her hearty laugh and her no nonsense approach to life. Whenever we go to an event and Steven orders a Jack and Ginger - it's a toast to Selma and Malcolm!
May the sad memories fade and the wonderful memories linger in your hearts and minds for always.
Love and hugs,
Robin

Dear Mara & Pamela,
I was 15 years old when I first met your Mother and had to wash the floor at the infirmary. Naturally I had to do it again because Selma wasn't pleased, that was the begining of a wonderful friendship I had with your Mother. Eventually she became my boss at Hillhaven and those days were the best days working with Selma. Having long conversations on the phone. I really enjoyed schmoozing with her, she was really ahead of her time. Even after Malcom
passed away and she moved to New York I stayed in touch. She was an intelligent, caring , funny, wonderful woman. I will always remember Selma
from Camp Naticcook days to the wonderful world of Nursing Homes she will always be remembered. I am very sorry for your loss. It was more than just losing a Mother. She always spoke about the two of you with such enthusiasm and than her Grandchildren. Well you have lots of wonderful memories and when you have memories she will always be alive. My deepest sympathies, With lots of love Marc Neustadt
