Edith Marion Hanna

Who was born on August 22, 1919, passed away on August 6th after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her late husband Herbert Michael Hanna to whom she was married 59 years. Edith is the beloved mother of Michael (Amanda) of Harwich, MA, Paul (Beverly) of Norfolk, MA, David of Chula Vista, CA, Timothy (Sheila) of Victoria, BC, Mary of Natick, MA, Phillip of East Falmouth, MA, John (Pamela) also of East Falmouth, and Anthony (Becky) of Chester, NH. She also leaves nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Edith is fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her affinity for music, vintage movies, and reading, as well as her humility and genteel spirit. Family and friends are invited to visitation at J.S. Waterman & Sons & Waring Funeral Home, 592 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, August 8th. A service in celebration of her life will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 9th at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Edith's memory to either Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, where she was a frequent volunteer and member for 54 years, or the Chester Congregational Baptist Church in Chester, NH.
