Perhaps you aren't ready yet to have to say good-bye...Perhaps you've thought of things you wished you'd said--well so have I. For one thing, Id have told you not to worry about me...I'm with the Lord in Heaven now--you knew thats where I'd be. I'm sorry that you're feeling sad, for I'm so happy now...I've asked the Lord to ease your hurt and comfort you somehow. Its hard at the beginning, but I know you'll make it through...I hope it helps to know that I'll be waiting here for you.

This poem was shared with me from one of my terminally ill patients:
What is Dying?
A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'
Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all.
She is just as large now as when I last saw her.
Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'
That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

My condolences to Jim's entire family.As I dealt with Jim in business matters it was easy to become close and trusting of a kind soul. His bright smile we'll continue to see through his sister Shirley. Take good memories forward and trust that you will all be together again some day.

Your father was a man I always looked up to. The love and pride he took in his children was there for all to see. A very special man who was a fixture on the sidelines at all of his kids games. Oh Helen, tho I have not been there to see Big Jim in a while, he has always been in my thoughts and prayers. when I think of Jim I smile because he made me smile thru all the years I worked for him. my heart goes out to you, you and Jim are like peanut butter and jelly, you just go so well together and I am sure he is up there watching over you like he did when he was here. We all knew this day would come..We all have spent the last 7 years watching as this horrible diease slowly and painfully took you away from us.It robbed you of just about everything except your brain. all through it though you never complained. you never lost your love of life and all boston sport teams. as sad as i am that your gone i know all your pain has stopped and your better now. you were my husband uncle but sometime over the past few years you became my uncle too. don't worry we will take care of auntie helen for you.
