OUR SINCERE SYMPATHY TO THE NAGLE FAMILY.

To The Nagle Family;
I’m wish to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of Russell. Russell was most likely the finest man I have ever met. Our lives crossed paths on Clement Huff Road in Cape Porpoise, Maine. We worked together managing Clement Huff Road. Our family enjoyed tea, cookies and surprise visits from Russell, Carol and of course Buddy ! Chico and Buddy would run at large for hours on Clement Huff Road, as dogs should, and arrive safely home tails wagging, tongues hanging out and ready for a good long lap from the water bowl. Russell would share stories of his youth when he was 19 or so and was placed into leadership of the John Nagle Fish Company. He told stories of how he single handedly saved tons of perishable seafood from a freight shed at Logan while he waited for others to arrive and help. All this pails in the shadow of this man’s importance. Russell and the John Nagle Fish Company have been a vital link in the seafood industry for generations. If Boston is the “hub” of the universe, then R ussell and the John Nagle Fish Company is certainly the commerce center of New England seafood. I think of all the seafarers from New Bedford to Jonesport whose catch made its way to market and profitability through Russell’s leadership and direction. So many boats paid for, families fed and lives fulfilled! Mine and those of others on Clement Huff Road were some of those lives made richer because of our relationship with Russell. Russell, your time has come for a well deserved rest. Rest in peace, your job has been well done ! Your seat at the right hand of the father awaits you. You have lived an exemplary life.

I watched the movie "The Notebook". I cried. Disease is hard, death is hard but everyything in life... every single thing in life...every hardship and joy is made easier when you are with someone who loves you. Loving people. Loving Kind People make life worth living. They make life easier. Seeing them in a movie or watching your Dad love you Mom...makes life sweeter for me. For everyone. I live on Clement Huff Road. I have been in meetings with your Dad and have enjoyed a few private conversations here and there. His ability to love, to be kind and honest make me feel better about life. I didnt feel bad for him when Nick told me he had passed. I felt sad for the world he left behind. I want people to feel about me when I pass, the way I feel about your Dad. He has truly set the standard!

Dear Janet,
While I never had the pleasure to meet your dad, I am all too familiar with the feelings of sorrow and depair that come from the loss of one's Father. He will live on through his eight children. As time goes by you will see how each of you mirrors some gesture or phrase that was once uniquely his. Cherish your memories for they are lasting. In my 24 years as a West Roxbury resident, whenever I heard your Dad's name mentioned it was always in the highest regard. Our deepest and most sincere sympathies are with you. With fond regards,
Joanne and Larry DePaula

No words can describe the loss of Russel. The friendship started between him and my grandfather William Comeiro Sr. over 60 years ago has resulted in a unwavering bond and friendship between our two families.
Russel's kindness and loyalty has had an immeasurable, positive impact on our family. Russel and his family have always been "there" for us..and we will be forever grateful and always "there" for the Nagle's.
Most sincerely and saddened,
Bill, Jason and Billy Comeiro (Bill's Garage)

Dear Nagles,
I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Nagle's death. He was a fun and funny man who was always willing to take on tasks so that things would go smoothly and everyone would be happy. I remember lots of ski adventures and, more recently, surprise appearances at Jane McGrath's cottage in Rye with food and conviviality.
I am so sorry for your loss, but feel lucky to have known him and to have these memories.

How very sad I felt to hear this news. My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Nagle, all of the Nagle children and extended family. I was fortunate enough to have “grown up” back in the mid 70’s while working for Russell at the John Nagle Co. Russell was without a doubt one of the kindest people I have ever known in my life. He had a unique blend of kindness and gentleness that you might say was not always apparent on the Boston Fish Pier. Although at the John Nagle Co., there always seemed to be an abundance of that amongst the “crew.” His spirit will leave an indelible imprint in the hearts and minds of all us that had the pleasure, and the honor of knowing such a kind man.

My sincere condolences to Mrs Nagle and all the Nagles at this difficult time.
Although I have not seen many of you for a number of years, some of my fondest memories were the ski vacations we all took together and how your father would drive us to the mountains and then spend half the night repairing our skis. He was a generous and kind man.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Nagle Family: I am Steve Oleskey's secretary and although I never met your father, I felt like I knew him. I will never forget the day I stood in line to go on the JFK aircraft carrier and looked over and saw the Nagle business signs. I said to my friend, "Wow, that's our client and I never knew what they did." I am particularly struck that he was a BC Eagle. I know that he was a very nice man, a gentleman. My sincere sympathy to you. I know that Steve Oleskey and I will miss him. I feel very sad. Loraine Dunn

Dear Russell,
You are a model to emulate. You taught so many so much! Your wisdom and your kindness are legend among those who know you! God left you among us a long wonderful time; let us hope we can make you proud as you made us proud at every turn of your life. Tom Brokaw is right, your generation is the greatest one there ever was in our society so far.
God Bless Russell and please continue to keep an eye on us! Amen
