Thank you everyone for all the well wishes for my family. My grandfather was a wonderful man, who will be remembered fondly. I enjoyed listening to the stories and memories this week that his friends, family, and co-workers shared, and hope to hear more.
I will remember my grandfather as a man dedicated to his work, family, and especially his wife. His undying love for my grandmother is something to be admired, and his love for her will shine on from above.

Dear Martin family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I used to bump into Uncle Marty all over the city and he would always stop and chat...he was so warm and friendly...his bright blue eyes always sparkling...Most of the time, if he wasn't in his crossing uniform, Aunt Agnes was right by his side. They always told me what was going on with the children and the grandchildren...they were so proud of all of you guys! I will miss seeing them together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers...especially Aunt Agnes...hope her recovery goes well.

Marty was a wonderful man who I had the privilage of knowing ever since my son Marc married his daughter Maureen. Herb and I enjoyed him very much. He will be missed so very much at all the family gatherings. My thoughts and prayers are with all his wonderful family.

Papa, i will miss you more than you will ever realize. you were a wonderful grandfather, and great grandfather and james and i were very lucky to have you in our lives as was all of our family. your death was a shock because it was so suddenly. I thought you would live forever because you were such a strong man. your death has made me realize that i should never take anything for granted because it can all be taken away at any moment. I promise i will be strong for the family, and we will all take good care of nana! may your soul rest in peace

Mr. Martin was a great man, He was a great grandfather and father. I wasnt related by blood but i can remember him treating me just the same. He will always be remembered and be dearly missed.

My Grandfather was an amazing man. He loved life, and anyone who was apart of it. I will never forget the countess times he sat there through plays, concerts, dance recitals, and graduations. Him and my Grandmother were the two people I looked up too the most. When ever he would visit, he would look at his clock and say "agnes, its 2 oh clock, got to go". He was loved by many and willing to sit and talk with any one. I love my Papa, and I will miss him dearly.
