Joseph Downey Obituary

Of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, entered into eternal rest August 13, 2008. He was born on May 24, 1941. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Dorothea (Hurley) Downey of Boston. Devoted brother of Leo Downey of Boston, Mary Ann (Downey) Buote and her husband Allan of Norton, Kevin Downey of Cincinnati, OH and Theresa Downey of Norton. Loving uncle of Jennifer (Buote) O'Neill, Dr. Ann Renee (Buote) Sahakian, Alanna and Erin Buote and Ruark, Blaise and Edana Downey. Loving great uncle of Rory O'Neill and devoted friend of Ann Connolly. Funeral from the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, West Roxbury, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Interment private.
