Of West Roxbury, August 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Joan (Buckley) Cassidy. Devoted father of Joanne Ottlinger of Cumberland, RI, William M. Cassidy and John F. Cassidy both of West Roxbury, Kathleen Maher of Pepperell, Mary Cassidy of Norwood, Christine Cerrato of Dedham & Donna Larivee of Lincoln, RI. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Brother of Francis Cassidy of Littleton, Maureen O'Connell of Rockland, James Cassidy of Roslindale and the late Herbert and David Cassidy and Nancy Callahan. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to Mass from 8:30-9:30 AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Late Korean War Veteran, U.S. Air Force. Member of George Wright Golf Course, Hyde Park. Dear John,
I just found out today on my return to work about your loss. I am so very sorry. You always talk about your parents. I know all the good he has taught you and that will never leave your heart. His life will carry on forever in first his children then granchildren and on and on. It all started with your Dad and thats alot to accomplish in one persons life. When you think of him smile cause thats all he ever wanted for you in this world. I know from heaven he will always be smiling down on you!
