Dear Flaherty Family,

I have known Patty for years and years but had not seen her since our last high school class reunion. I was a classmate of hers in Weston High School, class of 1972. She had looked fabulous at that time. I was aware from several other classmates that she had ovarian cancer and was fighting it with dignity and courage. She was a woman of great warmth and feeling and her smile will stay with me forever. I pray for her family and know that she is in a peaceful place now, with no pain or suffering. I will miss her!!

My heart is broken. My deepest sympathies are sent to Patty's wonderful husband, family, and close friends. Her life touched so many people in so many ways. I had the chance to work with her on a benefit for Dana Farber and will never forget her unwavering spirit, zest for life, elegance, wit, charm but most of all her incredible smile. Patty was an inspiration to everyone whose life she touched. She will be cherished in my heart forever.

Our Deepest Sympathies
I have only met Patty myself a few times and she was such a wonderful woman. My husband has worked for her for a few years now and she has always been wonderful to him. She has touched the lives of many with her foundation and she will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers are with those who love her and may we always remember what a wonderful person she was.

I am the brother of David and Cheryl Yarckin and along with my wife, we were informed about the loss of Patricia's courageous and ongoing battle with ovarian cancer and what a kind indivdual and wonderful friend she was. Although we only briefly met her and Paul at the Yarckin household during special occasions, we were always kept abreast of here health. We're also aware of the special and the plutonic relationship David and Cheryl had and will still have with the Flaherty family. Particia is now resting in a more peaceful pain free place where other family friends and members have gone before her and all being taken care of by the same Almighty One inside Heaven's Gate.

I have known Patty for 12 years, I gave her her facial every other Monday at Elizabeth Grady. She meant so much to me. She was beautiful inside and out. She was always looking for ways to help other people, she loved to share her wisdom and she routed for the underdog. She always said she had the best friends in the world, and she would talk about her family with great affection, especially her Mom and of course Paul. I will sorely miss Patty, I loved her so much. My condolences go out to Paul, her family and friends. I feel so blessed to have known Patty.
