Manet Petty Obituary

78, of Andover died Tuesday Aug. 19 2008 at her home. Born in Winthrop and raised in Newton, MA. She was the daughter of Lyons J. "Monty" Morency and Bertha F. (Jaques) Morency of Newtonville, MA. She graduated from Newton High School in 1949 and attended Garland Junior College. Besides her husband of 55 years, John R. Petty, she leaves two sons, Guy R. Petty of Derry, NH and Glen F. Petty of Salem, NH and a daughter Judith F. Daggett and her husband James M. of Andover, MA. She also leaves six grandchildren: Brent, Kelsey, Gary, Abigail, Bridget and Jason as well as two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her older sister Marilyn Blanchard O'Neil. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, ANDOVER, MA 01810. A funeral service will be on Friday at 10 AM at the Free Christian Church, Andover. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery also in Andover. Memorial contributions may be made to the Free Christian Church-Senior Adult Ministries, 31 Elm Street, Andover, MA 01810 or to the Hospice of the Merrimack Valley, 360 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, MA 01843.
