Helen Gonis Obituary

Of Hingham, formerly of North Arlington, NJ, August 18, 2008. Wife of the late Peter Gonis. Loving mother of Christine Samaha and her husband Richard of Hingham, Arthur Gonis and his wife Patricia of Jupiter, FL. Sister of Tarr Bosen of Portsmouth, NH and the late Charles, Irene, Elizabeth, Steven, and Nicholas Lampropoulos. Helen grew up in Ipswich and graduated from Manning High School Class of 1930. She spent many years in North Arlington, NJ and then moved to Duxbury before moving to Hingham. Helen enjoyed watching tennis and baking. She was a very kind and generous lady who enjoyed spending time with children. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Service in the Nativity of the Virgin Mary-Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Rd., Cohasset at 11 AM. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday morning only.
