My deepest sympathy to Howie's family. I was in total shock upon hearing about the loss.
I had lost touch over the years, but Howie was my neighbor growing up, and we were best friends around the age of 10, and attended Camp Clark together. I had the priviledge and good fortune of meeting with him at the golf course twice last summer after not having seen him for years.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss.
I knew Howie a long time, since the early 1980's, when he called on me at Micro Networks in Worcester. When I think of him I think of a person of unquestionable integrity. And a guy with a fantastic sense of humor! He was a man of his word among many who weren't.
I also know he loved you, his family, very much. He would always speak of you with great love and affection.
May God bless you and may God hold Howie in his loving embrace.

To Howie's family,
Howie was my friend from Camp Clark back in the early 70's. Later I used to play catch with him at UMASS and we hung around a bit. What a personality and sense of humor! I had lost contact with him. I always figured I would bump into him or something but I just didn't however my memories are fond. I feel so sad that he is gone now, it's a tragedy and quite a shock. He was a great guy. May G-d bless you all and may he rest in peace.

I want to send my deepest sympathy out to Avratin family. I represent Arrow Electronics and had the pleasure of working with Howie for the past 7 years. I worked very closely with him on several accounts and always had some laughs and fun with him. I was shocked and very hurt to hear the bad news.. he will be sorely missed. I want you to know that he ALWAYS talked about his family.. and how proud he was of his wife and children.. and the kids going to college and how things were going with them. even though I never met you kids.. I feel like I know you from all the stories. Howie was one of the true good guys I have ever met in the industry.God Bless, George

My deepest sympathies to Howie's family. I had become friends with Howie recently during his sales visits to EMC. He spoke warmly of his family and always had an interesting and amusing story to share. We traded many storied of our college-aged children (I have two) I will miss his company, his wit, and his humor.

Dear Mrs. Avratin - No words can correctly express my sympathy for your loss. I knew Howie in a professional capacity for the last 15 years, but he always related family stories, and his pride for you and your children was deep. I had the pleasure of working with Howie for several years and always enjoyed his company. I had the honor of being invited to his daughters Bat Mitzvah. Howie was so proud of his children and talked about them all the time. Howie will be dearly missed by his family ,friends, and co-workers. I was shocked and saddened to hear of your loss, and the loss of one of my oldest friends. All I have been thinking of for the last 24 hours are all the times I shared with first Howie from our old days at Canton High, to the road trip he and I took to Atlantic City when we were both in our early 20's, to the cruise Janice we took together as couples. My deepest sympathy to the Avratin family family. Howie was an associate and friend for 25 years. He was a fun and kind guy, who always wanted to help you or do a favor for you. Every year he'd never let the year close without a call to set up a holiday lunch or dinner either. He was a very caring & thoughtful man. I am sure he will be missed by many.
