Sister Mary Paulina

Sister of Providence Died on August 21, 2008. Known prior to her entrance into religious life as Rita Elise Hayes, she was the ninth of twelve children born to James and Ellen (Riley) Hayes. She entered the Sisters of Providence from South Boston on July 2, 1935 and was in the 74th year of her religious life. She is survived by her Sisters in Community, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.The Wake will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008, 3-7:30 p.m. at Providence Place, 5 Gamelin Street, Holyoke, MA; Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Providence Place Chapel. The Dillon and Edward F. Day Funeral Home, 124 Chestnut Street, Holyoke, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
