Anne Allard Obituary

87, of Chelmsford died on Thursday, August 21, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Allard who died in 2000. She was born on April 26, 1921 in Lowell a daughter of the late Garabed and Elisabeth (Sarkisian) Giragosian. Mrs. Allard received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Lowell Normal School and her Master's degree in Child Psychology from Fitchburg State College. Prior to her retirement she was a Music Teacher for the Lowell Public Schools. She was a member of the Lowell Teacher's Ass., the Music Educators National Conference and the Massachusetts Music Educators Ass. She is survived by her two loving children, Elizabeth A. Hanson and her husband Richard of Ashby and Albert L. Allard and his wife Susan of Wakefield, three grandchildren, Anne Hanson, Maura Allard and Bethany Allard. She also leaves three sisters, Julia Soucy of Amesbury, Patricia Marzbanian and her husband David of Hilton Head, SC and Irene Guregian of Chelmsford. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles Giragosian. Services were held privately at St. Margaret's Church, Lowell. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mrs. Allard's name to the Brigham and Women's Hospital LCU Fund, BWH Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02116 or to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Newtonville, MA 02060. Betty and Dick,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom Betty. It was strange because a friend of mine and I were just talking about you and your mom last weekend. I will always remember your mom as my music teacher at the Riverside school in Lowell. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
