I am so sorry to hear of Stogies passing and wish I had known sooner. I don't know how I could have missed this and I feel terrible I was not able to pay my respects. He was so handsome & I had the biggest crush on him. I would always visit the old gang when I was a teenager (stopping by to see my dad, Henny Dietzel) and tell him I would marry him some day. Even at my dad's wake I made a point to tell him about the crush I had and how he was still handsome as ever. My heart is broken for your loss. One by one the greatest firefighters of Dedham are getting together in heaven and looking over us as they always have. As I always heard,"RADIO CHECK OK."
God Bless and I still love ya Stogie.

To Stogie's family,
Stogie and I go back to grammar school in St. Mary's and continued on together through high school. We also played hockey together. Years later we met in Germany while in the Army. Forty-six years ago, he was an usher in our wedding and caught the garter. There been so many memories, but most all, he was a great friend and confindant. We will miss him dearly. With deepest sypathy, Charlie & Celia
