Joseph Traylor Obituary

Of Westwood, formerly of Norwood, died peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, Aug. 26th 2008. He leaves his beloved wife Bonnie Traylor; his cherished children Scott Traylor of Needham and his wife Diana and their children Aaron and Amanda; his daughter Jennifer Traylor Kruschwitz and her husband Brian of Rochester, NY and their children Adam and Helen; and Gary Traylor of Westwood and his son Matthew. Joseph is the son of the late Cecelia Tareila and Joseph Jacob Tareila of Norwood and brother to two deceased sisters: Mary Traylor Jenkins and Veronica Tareila Ferrari. Joseph also leaves his step daughter Joan Doiron and her children: John Potter, Lynn Doiron Black, Mark and Keith Doiron and their families. Also survived by his niece Jean Ferry and her husband William and their daughter Leanne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109), WESTWOOD on Thursday, August 28th from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday morning August 29th at 10am in St. John's Episcopal Church, 97 Deerfield Ave., Westwood. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Mr. Traylor and his wife Bonnie owned Century 21 Traylor Real Estate in Westwood for 27 years. He formerly worked at Raytheon Company in Bedford for many years. He is a member of the Masonic Orient Lodge in Norwood, an Aleppo Shriner, a member of Knights Templar and a graduate of Bentley College and Northeastern University. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children - Boston, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 and/or SNCARC/Family Autism Center, 789 Clapboardtree St., Westwood, MA 02090. I just found out about Joe's passing- as his dentist for many years, I always enjoyed his company. We always had our "Rochester" connection to discuss. Please accept my sincere condolances. I will miss him.

Joe and Bonnie were two of our first friends in Westwood when we moved there in 1967. Our paths always crossed, what with our kids involved in the highschool band activities, etc. We regret Joe's passing and express our heartfelt sympathies to Bonnie and the family.
