To Helen and the Family- I loved working with Bill at Sears, he could always make me laugh and get my spirits up during down times. He had wonderful stories about all of his family and friends. He was very lucky to have such a wonderful family, who loved him so very much and whom he loved dearly. He will be much missed. My love and thoughts are with you all.

Living many years across the street from the Martins while growing up, I have so many memories. I'll never forget all the amazing 4th of July parties, amazing fireworks displays, so much fun! Also watching you give your grandchildren rides on the your old rider mower. They loved that! You were always so much fun, cracking jokes, making others laugh. I thank you for all of the laughter. I'm comforted that you are at peace...you will never be forgotten. I extend condolences from the whole Scherer family....especially my Dad who is unable to join us today.

Daddy will always be alive in my heart. When I see a rainbow after a summer shower, eat my first garden tomato of the season, when I hear a red neck joke or eat steamers and lobster, when the dog's crazy antics make me laugh, and when I experience joy in my life, he'll be there with me. The memories we made will never die. I love you so much Daddy.

Where does anyone start to explain how amazing this man was? Beep was and still is my hero. There is no doubt that he holds a special place in every persons heart that he has touched. He was such a compassionate and strong man. His love will carry on as he has taught us to value and hold strength in family. I love you Beep, thanks for all you have taught me <3 always DinDin

When I think of my Beep, all I can hear is his laugh. That belly rolling laugh that was just as contagious as his smile. He will forever be alive in my heart. And whenever I get myself into a situation I will hear his endless words of wisdom...Stay out of trouble, Baby. I love you Beep!!!!!

I will remember my Uncle Bill as always having a smile and laughing. My sisters and I still remember him coming at us as a joke with a rolled up dishtowel and wow could he swat, then he would laugh and laugh. Somehow, no matter how hard we tried, we could never get him back! His family meant the world to him and were the center of his life; I remember when Laurie and Marie moved out of the house to Andover so long ago and he was just devastated. He knew how to enjoy life with his beautiful Helen at his side and we spent so many weekends at their home; I so looked forward to spending the summer at theirs as a child. I am so proud to have had this man as my favorite uncle and am glad he was such a big part of my life. Thank you, Uncle Bill. You will always be in my heart.

Helen, Glen and family. I just got the message from Marshall this morning. I am so sorry to hear that Billy has passed. He was a great influence on me in my relative "youth" and I always admired his resourcefulness and sincerity. My Dad has moved to North Carolina with my brother and his family. I'll pass the sad news on to them later today. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule, it's unlikely that I'll be seeing you to express my regrets personally. Please know that I'll keep him and you in my prayers.
