Phyllis will always be remembered as a warm and caring friend. My wife Nancy worked for the Hahn's for many years @ SVI, and I knew Phyllis through company functions such as the annual company picnics and holiday parties in both their Indiana and Illinois homes. Our family was always made to feel welcomed and comfortable as her guests. Nancy and I owe a great deal of thanks to both Phyllis and Brad. Our sincere sympathy and love to the entire Hahn Family. Sheryl, Steve, Sandy & Family,
I am truly heartbroken on the loss of your Mom. The Hahn Family has touched my life over the years and I will always remember your Mom and Dad. I believe that I am a better person to have known Phyllis and Brad, always welcoming you with a great smile and warm hug. I will miss our chats in the kitchen and the moments we have shared. Please know that I will keep you all in my prayers.

Phyllis, rest my friend and until we meet again may you be our Guarding Angel. "Turn up the Music, turn it up loud, take a few chances let it all out. You won't regret it, looking back from where you have been, and it's not who you knew and it's not what you did, it's how you lived!"

August 28, 2008

Our hearts go out to Steven, Cheryl and Sandy for the loss of their mom and to MJ for the loss of her sister and to the rest of the family on this very sad day. Having recently lost my father to the same disease, I know how hard it is to see your loved one suffer. Phyllis fought bravely and is now at peace. Brad and Phyllis were wonderful neighbors for the past 10 years. They will be missed terribly.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was writing words of encouragement to Phyllis; to help her through the hardship of being a care giver to dealing with the heartache of losing Brad. Now I’m trying to think of encouraging words for her children and my thoughts are frozen in disbelief … like snapshots, moments with Phyllis frozen in time. The twinkle in her eyes when she smiled, the warmth felt in her hugs, the caring words when asking about you and your family. You never know how you might touch someone’s life; I pray Phyllis now knows how many she touched. We will miss her very much!

Phyllis left this earth much too soon but she has left behind a powerful legacy for her children and grandchildren to carry on. Cheryl, Sandy and Steve - words can not express the sadness in our hearts. Please accept our prayers for your
own strengths and good health to carry on the legacy. They are together again, hear the angels sing.
