Arthur LaBrecque Obituary

Age 57, of Hingham, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, after a brief illness at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Janet L. (Margetts) LaBrecque. Devoted father of Dennis LaBrecque and his wife Kimber of Scituate, Derek R. LaBrecque and his wife Jodi of Wakefield, and Kerry A. Chase and her fiance Charlie Silvester, both of Randolph. Loving grandfather "Papa" of Jonathan, Brittni, Alexis, Lindsey, Jade Ryan, Mya Renee and Arrianna. Son of the late Philip A. and Geraldine A. (Crowley) LaBrecque. Brother of Geraldine P. Walker of Holbrook, Philip A. LaBrecque, Jr. of Bristol, RI, the late Marie A. LaBrecque, the late Joanne L. DeCoste and the late Stephen M. LaBrecque. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, One Independence Ave., QUINCY Saturday, Aug. 30 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 550 Washington St., Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, 4-8 PM. Interment with military honors at Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. LaBrecque's memory may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Bay State Dr., Braintree, MA 02184. Late Vietnam War, U.S. Army Green Beret Veteran.

Janet, I'm so sorry to hear of Arthur's passing. I immediately thought back to the old Multibank days and all the fun we had working the night shift together, with Arthur as commander-in chief, lol.
