Dear Ahern Cousins,

I recently heard of the loss of "Aunt Ellie" my Uncle Joe's wife. Unfortunately it has been many years since our family has been in touch; perhaps the last time was at Aunt Mollie(Mary) Ahern's funeral.
Iam the daughter of your Uncle Bill, The oldest of the Ahern "boys". Your Dad, Uncle Joe was by far the most handsome! In fact I recently came across an old Army photo of him.
Please know I have very fond memories of your Mom. When we traveled up to Boston to visit Nana Ahern your Mom was frequently there too ,usually with a beautiful new baby. I also remember one summer Tom came and stayed with us in CT. These reflections come from a now 70ish!!! woman .
My sincere sympathy goes out to you all.
