Dear Adler family,
As you know, your Dad & I go way back to the old Sea Scout days. Your Dad helped me get a job with him working at F. W. Woolworth's in Waltham. It seems that my entire teenage years were spent in company with him. Then we all married and the close relationship continued until our jobs took us to different parts of the country. Our belated condolences to all of you. As my children have said, we all had such a blast together and your parents will be missed by all.

Steve, Kenny and Paul,
I also have fond memories of our summer visits with you in Maine. I was very young and don't remember as much as my sisters, but I do remember looking for mussles and cooking them on the beach, dune buggy rides, and who could forget young men grabbing my mom, picking her up, saying... "Great to see you, you Old Bag O' Bones"!
Our condolences to you, though I have to agree with Jena.... there is one rocking party going on in heaven!!

Dear Adler family,
We were looking for your parents to let them know about the death of George Turner on August 26th 2009. Bari found your parents' obituaries and forwarded the information on to Susan (Turner) and to my dad (Freddy Bazley). The three Bazley girls (Bobby's girls) all have such fond memories of our summer visits with you in Maine. Your parents were warm and welcoming people. I remember swimming in your pool, rides in your dune buggy, checking lobster pots in your Dad's boat and eating breakfast in your house. (You were the only people we knew who had a toaster at the dining room table!) I remember how you called our mom "Old Bones" and it was neat to hear stories of all the things our parents used to do as young people. It sounds like a bit of a reunion has started in heaven with Bobby, Bob, Jean and now George there. The three of us (Bari, Jena and Tina) are going to spend 3 days in Boston this weekend to visit some of the old haunts and remember our mom together. Bari and I will be in Boston again for George's service on October 3rd. I can fwd. his obituary to you if you send me your email address. ([email protected]) Jena (Bazley) Morey

Dear Steve & family - Friend, our hearts go out to you. We share your loss. Fathers are special men and yours was certainly no less. Bob unselfishly served his country and, as a man of the sea, especially a fellow submariner, he feared little, except, perhaps, for the greater depths, a fear we all share as Brothers of the 'phin. God bless his soul. We will cherish our memories of Bob, especially when and where the tide ebbs and flows. God bless. Ginnie and Brian Spaulding, MTC(SS) USN (Ret)
