Dear members of the Catanzano family,
I was out of state when Sal passed away and would like to express my sympathies to all of you.
I first met Sal when my kids were old enough to play baseball. They played for him during the summer traveling season and I helped coach.
Since that point in time, we have remained friends, but unfortunately, my schedules at two colleges and business responsibilities have not allowed us to see much of each other.
My family is saddened by your loss. Both of my boys, John and Michael, had fond memories of those "good old days" playing ball for Sal, and when I told them of his demise, they each had a particular story to tell me about Sal and Little League baseball.
I have lost an old friend...May he rest in peace.

Dear Sal:
Remember the old canteen truck at the AHS Football games
in the 70s and then went on as
a Colorman for AHS Football
with John DeFeo and Ed Chalmers
on Arlington Cablesystems, then
Contiental Cablevision from 1983-
1994 for 12 Seasons all 3 of you
working with you Home and Away
and you survived all those Home
Games Play by Play out in the
Cold, Rainy and of course the
Thanksgiving Day Game 1985 when
it snowed. You were a Trooper doing
all those games outside without a
pressbox in the Cold Weather &
Rain as well. Sal you taught me a
lot and Thank you for mentioning
my Birthday on the Air and our
Class Reunions on Thanksgiving Day.
You Will be missed God bless you.

I remember Sal well. He coached my 3 boys in Little League many, many years ago. What I remember most was his enjoyment...and the fact that the focus was on having fun playing the game. He taught them to be gracious losers and good winners.
I am so sorry for your loss.
