dear martha, nicholas --
my sympathy to you on the passing of 'mrs. morrison,' as i shall always remember her. when we were teenagers, mrs. morrison always opened her home to all of us. she was always gracious and hospitable, without being overbearing. she was non-judgmental, and the exemplar of a warm dignity that was unique. i'm glad that she lived as long as she did, to see nicholas successfully launched.
