Mary-
Thank you for such an inspiring life and the love you shared unconditionally. The crowds in Hingham last Saturday spoke to your impact.

Aunt Mary,
My memories of you are mostly from my childhood with wonder at the commotion of a household with seven children. My sister Rena and I would return from Massachusetts with a different outlook on life. The city life that you all experienced was so different from our home in New Hampshire. You always had a special style about you.
What really stands out in my mind is the note you sent me after my son Jay was killed at 19. There was such understanding of my feelings and such a shared grief that it has stayed with me forever. I'm sorry that we were not able to attend the service. I'm sure my father would have wanted us there, but I am unfortunately not well as of yesterday.
Rena and I wish that our families had been closer as we have few relatives now.
We will keep you in our prayers.
Love,
Nancy Fortier
