DeSANTIS, Albert D. Of Newtonville, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, age 88. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sylvia DeSantis of 63 years, his son Daniel, and his wife Peggy of NH, son Stephen and his wife Leah of MA, daughter Deborah DeSantis of MA, son Albert "Buddy" of FL ,and daughter Maryann Warder and her husband Brett of CA. Loving grandfather of Sylvia, Marcia, Patricia, Stephanie, Anne, Shelagh, Daryll, Jake, Brandon, and Cali Ann. Great grandfather of six. Son of the late Luigi and Bessie (Izzo) DeSantis, brother of Edward DeSantis, Virginia Proia, Dorothy McCullough, and the late Mary Marston, Viola Lucas, Anna Leger, and Alice Battista. Life long resident of Newton, graduated Newton H.S. Class of 1939. He retired from Raytheon Co. after 47 years of service. Active member of Knights of Columbus #167 of Newton where he was known for his cooking. Funeral from the Andrew J. Magni & Son F.H., 365 Watertown St, Rt. 16, NEWTON, Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 9:30AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton at 10:30AM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm.
