O'BRIEN Barbara A. (English ) of West Roxbury Sept. 8, 2008 Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Barbara was the last living member of her immediate family, deceased brother Edward T. English and sisters Esther English and Catherine McCarthy, all of West Roxbury, Mary Burke of Roslindale, Rita Brouillard of Belmont and her parents Sarah (Reilly) and Edward English of West Roxbury. A loving aunt and great aunt, Barbara enjoyed spending summers with her nieces and nephews on the beaches of Hull and Marshfleld, as well as being Esther's co-pilot on many "Mystery Rides". Barbara formerly worked with her Sister Esther at State Street Bank in Boston, commuting on the Nantasket boat during summer. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY,Friday, Sept. I2 at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 o'clock. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited.
