Lillian R. Ames

AMES, Lillian R. 84, of 15 Hamilton Avenue, Weirs Beach, N.H. died September 14, 2008. She was born April 28, 1924 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Ukrainian immigrants, Harry and Dora (Rabinovitz) Yampolsky. Mrs. Ames was raised in Chelsea, Mass. and received her B.A. degree from Boston University. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Sidney E. Ames, of Weirs Beach; three sons, S. Jeffrey Ames and H. Michael Ames, both of Weirs Beach and Robert E. Ames of Newton, Mass.; a daughter, Victoria Witt, of New York, New York; three grandchildren, Sheryl Ames, Lydia Ames and Winter Ames; several nieces, nephews and grandnephews and grandnieces and many friends in Florida. There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00PM at Temple B'nai Israel, 210 Court Street, Laconia, NH. Burial will follow in the Temple B'nai Israel Section of Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H. Shiva will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 and Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 7:00PM at the family home on 15 Hamilton Avenue, Weirs Beach.
