Max Berman Obituary

Berman, Dr. Max A., Age 89, of Provincetown, On Monday, September 15, 2008. Dr. Berman practiced Optometry in Provincetown from 1947-2007, retiring last year. He loved serving his patients. Dr. Berman also had an office in Orleans for 45 years. He, served in World War II, as an Optometrist, in England, Iceland and France; was a lifetime member of the Provincetown Lions Club and lifetime member of the Red Sox Nation. Dr. Berman was a passionate golfer. He was a truly dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. For 61 years, the beloved husband of Anita R. (Berman), devoted father of Sheryl & Herb Lovit of Newton and Michael & Melinda Berman Of Newton, formerly of Sudbury. Loving grandfather of Gayle, Emily and Peter. Dear brother Of Minn Schneiderman of Milton and Ida Kublin of Needham. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, on Wednesday, September 17 at 11 AM. Interment at the Hebrew Volin Cemetery, Baker Street, West Roxbury. Memorial observance Wednesday and Thursday, with minyan services at 7:30PM, at the home of Michael & Melinda Berman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Lion's Eye Research Fund, P.O.Box 6050, New Bedford, MA 02472. Levine Chapels, Brookline (617) 277-8300
