Theodore Ogden Obituary

OGDEN, Theodore R. 88, formerly of Middleton, MA and San Jose, CA, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 in York Hospital. He was born, December 30, 1919 in Middleton, MA, son of George and Grace (Gould) Ogden. He graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Literature. He was a Naval Aviator during World War II and during the Korean War and flew F-4-F Hellcats from the U.S.S. Bunker Hill and the U.S.S. WASP in the Pacific. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a writer & businessman. He played a large role in the planning and development of Pleasure Island. He enjoyed traveling Europe and Japan and was an avid reader throughout his life. He leaves his wife of 60 yrs, Teena M. (Gloekler) Ogden; many nieces and nephews including: Marilyn P. Webber of Middleton, MA and David P. Webber of York, ME. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. Ogden,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served as a fighter pilot in the USN during WW II and the Korean War and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
