Charlie was a great man to work with when I was working at Getronics. When I needed help he was always there and did way more then he needed to.. He use to tell me stores about his trips to Augusta Maine looking for Info on his family or his famous hot peppers and where he got them.. He took great pride in his relishes he use to give us at work. As he should because the relishes tasted great. Everyone kept asking for more! Charlie will be greatly missed.. My condolences are with his family.

YOUR MOTHER

September 19, 2008

MY SON:
I AM SURELY GOING TO MISS YOU.
YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WHEN I CALLED.
YOU TAUGHT US HOW TO USE A COMPUTER, SOMETHING I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD DO AT MY AGE.
I REMEMBER YOU PLAYING CRIBBAGE WITH MARSHALL, AND REMEMBER HOW MARSHALL MADE UP HIS OWN WAY OF PLAYING?
YOU WENT BEFORE ME, AND YOU ARE AT PEACE.
HOLD ME A SPACE, TILL WE MEET AGAIN.

Although I knew Charlie from work and we only spoke over the phone and over email, it was easy to see what a great person he was. I will miss those long conversations that somewhere along the way went way off course (but we never noticed till we were way onto another thread), his humor, his happy demeanor and especially his stories. Charlie was truly one of a kind. It was a pleasure working with him and he will be missed. It is a shame he was taken from us so soon. My heartfelt condolences to the Rodenhiser family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have known Charlie since 1964 when we began many a spirited debate as we tried to solve all the problems of the world in one fell swoop!! Charlie loved to play "Devil's Advocate" and I always played along, but it was always in fun and with lots of love. :)
Jim followed Charlie by graduating two years later from Hudson High School. Mostly we know him as our brother in law, or more accurately, our brother. He has such a good heart and always wanted to do all he could to help others. His knowledge of computers was legendary in our family. I was always amazed at how he could assemble this pile of miscellaneous "junk" and turn it into a working computer!!! I remember one time when we came up from Georgia and he and Fred took us for a tour of APC, which was fascinating and showed us a whole new side of their expertise. But mostly we remember decades of his humor, his intellect and his great love for his family. He has gone on before us, most likely repairing those state of the art computers in heaven and giving Saint Peter a hard time! We know he is not gone, just gone before us and that we will meet again on the other side where pain and suffering and sadness no longer exists. Gay, we love you. Charlie we will miss you. God be with you til we meet again.

Charles one of the brightest people that I have had the great fortune to meet. Charles even though being very bright brought a great deal of humility and warmth to everyone at getronics. He will be sadly missed and non-replacable.

"an indian prayer"
O' Great Spirit
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life
To all the world, hear me!
I am small and weak,
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty,
And make my eyes ever behold
The red and purple sunset.
Make my hands Respect the things you have made,
And my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise,
So that I may understand
The things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons
You have hidden In every leaf and rock.
I seek strength,
Not to be greater than my brother,
But to fight my greatest enemy- myself.
Make me always ready
To come to you with clean hands
And straight eyes.
So when life fades,
As the fading sunset,
My spirit may come to you
Without shame.
my thoughts and prayers are with you, his family at this time
