Robert Partridge Obituary

PARTRIDGE, Robert L. Sr. 78, of 613 Benton Drive, Laconia died at L.R.G.H,, Laconiá on September 16, 2008. Mr. Partridge was born April 3, 1930 in Norwood, Mass, the son of Harold and Margaret L. (Cathcart) Partridge. Mr. Partridge served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Partridge was a long time resident of the Norwood/Foxboro, Mass area before moving to Laconia, NH. Mr. Partridge was employed at Don & Wally's Service Center in Norwood for twenty years, managed the Walpole Street Garage, and retired from Browne's Garage in 1994. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2452, Norwood, Mass. Mr.Partridge enjoyed woodworking and antique automobiles, His 1937 Packard was his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara J. (Pierce ) Partridge, of Laconia; two sons, Robert L. Partridge, Jr. of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Bradford C. Partridge of West Barnstable, Mass; a daughter, Pamela J. Fothergill of Franklin, Mass.; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Derek, Jessica and Sean; two brothers, Harold and Richard; a sister, Nancy E.Laliberte, and many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on September 20, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, N.H. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. Al called last night and told me of Bob's passing. My deepest sympathies. I have many great memories of 7 Allexander Rd. and the Walpole St. Garage. Bob will be missed.
