B: Think of you everyday.. I know you are always there. Your name is written on the back of all my coins. Thanks for watching over me.
Family: Your son gave me a reason to not give up on myself. I made sure to speak of him at my one year this past July. I 100% know that he saved my life. I am forever grateful to have known him.

A year has passed, and the sorrow is still there. Just keep the faith, and know that Billy is at peace and God has a plan for him. Dont hesitate to call for anything

Bill, Tracey and Michael,
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of all of you. I carry Billy's mass card in my wallet as a remembrance and say a prayer for you each time I see it. My heart grows heavy every time I pass your home and see the light in his window and wish I could take some of your pain away. Find comfort that he is in a better place and without pain. God Bless.

Shaw Family,
It has been very difficult to find the words to say. I have known Billy since we were little kids. Through sports and school Billy and I were always best friends. There is no other kid that I would have rather shared the field of battle with. Billy will always be in my heart, and all my prayers go out to you.

Yesterday, Saturday, my wife Michelle and I attended the funeral mass of our son John's former Billerica High School Indians football team mate, Billy Shaw. My wife and son attended the wake the previous night as I was sick. Our hearts go out to his mom, dad, brother Mikey, and the whole Shaw family, friends, relatives and football and lacrosse families. He was a blessed, gifted young man.
We attended our son John's Curry College football game after Saturday's funeral as our way of healing and honoring Billy's memory as a great football player. We wore a combination of Curry College Purple and Black, as well as Billerica Green and White as a tribute to Billy; who wore the #33 jersey for the Indians. It was a steady, pouring rain throughout the game, which was also Curry College's Homecoming weekend. We watched our son play with a renewed appreciation for the gift of life and health many of us share with our children. Curry beat their opponents of West New England College by a score of 40 - 7. They won by 33 points; Billy's jersey number. God has dramatic ways, and He also has little ways of letting us know that He is present in our busy lives, and that He cares.
We take this event as one of those little ways, and will always keep this special day in our hearts.
May Billy's family take some comfort from the beauty that surrounded them this day of grieving with an enormous showing of support from their friends and families, and may God give them solace in His special presence with them, at this most difficult time in their life...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God bless you as He welcomes Billy into His loving arms and into His blessed kingdom, till we meet him again in a more joyous time.
Our Love,
The Murphy's

My Meghan called me today sobbing uncontrollably. She had only met your son several months ago and became very close to him instantly. She told me what a gentleman he was and how much he meant to her. We have had a lot of recent losses in our own family but I can't remember her ever being so devastated. I hope for her and for you that one day the sorrow will lessen and the memories of your son who touched so many lives will bring a smile to you each time you remember the joy he brought in his life. God Bless you. My thoughts and prayers are with you- Meghan Gallagher's mom.

Mr. and Mrs. Shaw and Mike,
I am so sorry for you loss. It feels like yesterday I was coaching Billy in football, basketball and lacrosse. I will never forget Billy's freshman year, we needed a goalie for the freshman team and Mr. Colangelo asked Billy to play goalie. Billy without hesitation stepped up and said he would do it for the team. Billy started varsity as a sophomore and turned into one of the best goalies in the state his senior year. A great captain, a great student and a great kid. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Tracy and Bill:
I can't know your pain, I can only imagine it and have been thinking of little else since I heard about Billy. I didn't know Billy well, but I know how loved he was and how you dedicated your lives to both him and Michael. I also know how proud you are of him and Michael as well you should be. Often I would hear Auntie and Wally brag about both your boys and their accomplishments and say how much they loved going to their games. I wish there was something I could do for you to make things different. Love, Bren
